Harman Kardon is getting ready to launch its much-awaited smart speaker called Invoke. The device was first revealed in December last year, and now it is being listed on the company's official website with several details.
The Harman Kardon Invoke powered by Microsoft's digital assistant Cortana is already up for registration to notify consumers when it is available for purchase but it will be launched into the market only during the fall. However, it could be showcased at Microsoft's upcoming Build Developer Conference on May 10-12.

Besides providing sound at full 360-degrees, the Harman Kardon Invoke allows users to make and receive hands-free calls with Skype, get answers to your questions, and voice control your music and smart home.
However, details like the exact release date and pricing are not known.
The device will take on Industry leader Amazon Echo and Google Home when it is released. It may find difficult to beat the already established brands but has the potential to do well in the market.
Amazon Echo is a voice-activated smart bluetooth speaker controlled by intelligent personal assistant service Alexa. Originally priced at $179.99, the device can control several smart gadgets using itself as a home automation hub, read audio books, check the weather, set alarm, provide realtime information like traffic updates, online shopping, stream podcasts etc besides providing immersive 360º omni-directional audio from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn and others on voice command.
Google Home is also voice-activated smart bluetooth speaker, but it is powered by Google Assistant. It provides real-time answers, including weather, traffic, finance, sports and local businesses besides playing music from Google Play Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Pandora and others.
