Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" has met with positive response from various quarters and has won the hearts of his fans. But there is also a kind of fear whether the movie will be as good as the short video clip?
The teaser of "Yennai Arindhaal" is a well-cut video that works as a summary to the film even though the best parts are yet to be released in the trailer. Gautham Menon with editor Anthony have worked over time to produce a short but impressive video clip.
The teaser has done its job of reaching out to the audience and raising expectations on "Yennai Arindhaal". But there lies a fear even among Ajith fans whether the film will be as good as this video as "Billa 2" disaster is before them.
If you can remember, Ajith's "Billa 2" teaser and trailer had taken not only his fans but the whole industry and general audience by storm. The short-videos were such brilliant pieces that the expectations were sky high from the film.
Unfortunately, expectations did not meet the quality and "Billa 2" failed to impress the audience. The shocking part of the story was that audience wondered how the film failed after making such a huge impact with the trailer/teaser. The incident also proved that a good teaser does not necessarily guarantee to be a good film.
This memory is still fresh in the minds of the audience as it was a hard lesson for the industry. All Ajith fans hope is that "Yennai Arindhaal" will not be another "Billa 2" and Gautham Menon will not disappoint them.
No Over Marketing
May be for this same reason, the makers of "Yennai Arindhaal" are not over-marketing the product. They are also aware of the fact that the Tamil film will be releasing alongside Vikram's "I" and a small error in marketing the film might cost them dearly. Hence, they want to keep the things simple and low-key for the forthcoming flick.
