Kapil Sharma was hospitalised on Wednesday, May 31, after he complained of uneasiness on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show and was taken to a hospital in Andheri, Mumbai.
"Kapil was admitted to a hospital in Andheri at 4 pm today after he complained of uneasiness. It is a blood pressure related problem. It is a result of back-to-back shooting," said a source close to the actor.
According to reports, Kapil was shooting with Paresh Rawal-- as part of the promo for his upcoming film Guest-- when he fell ill and the shoot had to be cancelled.
However, Kapil's co-star Kiku Sharda told Times of India that the stand-up comedian is fine and there is nothing to worry. "Yes, Kapil was feeling uneasy so he was taken to the hospital and was admitted. But there's nothing to worry. He is fine now," Kiku said.
Kapil is yet to be discharged from the hospital and we wonder if the comedian-turned-actor can attend the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, June 1.
The host of The Kapil Sharma Show will be honoured with the prestigious award at a suburban auditorium in Mumbai. He was honoured with the prestigious award more than once.
In 2014, Kapil was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award but unfortunately, he reached the venue very late and had to collect the trophy from stage coordinators as the dignitaries and the audiences had already left.
