Makers of "The Shaukeens" have managed to win the goodwill of Aamir Khan, as the Perfectionist has given his permission to use the track "Saigal Blues" from his earlier movie "Delhi Belly" in the latest Hindi movie.
Director Abhishek Sharma wanted to play "Saigal Blues" in the background for a particular scene in "The Shaukeens". The entire team decided to seek the permission from the audio company after Akshay Kumar felt that the song would go well with the scene.
However, the audio company told the makers of "The Shaukeens" that the final approval should come from Aamir Khan himself as he was the producer of "Delhi Belly". The "Dhoom 3" star himself told the Akshay Kumar's team that he wanted to see the entire sequence before giving a green signal to their request.
However, the process of getting Aamir Khan's approval was delayed as the actor was travelling to some place. By the time the actor landed in Mumbai, he had realised that "The Shaukeens" is running short of time and his approval matters a lot by then.
Aamir Khan asked the makers to meet him immediately and they showed the sequence to him in the wee hours. The Bollywood superstar was impressed by what he saw and approved their request instantly.
"He told me, 'I saw the scene and it's very funny'. That means a lot, coming from someone like Aamir," producer Ashwin Varde shared his excitement to the Hindustan Times. Now, the makers of the film are hoping that the song and Aamir Khan's good words will boost the collection of the film on the first day.
"The Shaukeens" features Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Lisa Haydon, and Anupam Kher in the lead roles. While Akshay Kumar has done an extended special appearance, Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor are seen in the cameos. The movie will hit the screens worldwide on 7 November.
