Grammy-winning Scottish DJ and music producer Calvin Harris is releasing today a new single, "This is what you came for." Harris has collaborated with pop singer Rihanna for the track.
The DJ also took to Twitter to offer a short preview of the track yesterday (check it out below). And from the way it sounds, "This is what you came for" is going to be a ballad-style dance-pop song.
Harris and Rihanna had previously worked together on the latter's 2011 single, "We found love" and then "Where have you been" in 2012, which the DJ co-wrote and co-produced. While "We found love" was a major success and grabbed the top spot on charts, "Where have you been" fared moderately.
The pair's new collaboration was first hinted at by Taylor Swift at the Coechella festival, which concluded last week. Swift was seen wearing a jacket with the artwork for "This is what you came for" on its back. While this fact could not be figured out immediately, it became evident yesterday when Harris posted the teaser of the song on Twitter. Harris had also surprised fans at Coechella 2016 when he brought out Rihanna to sing "We found love" with him.
Since Harris is bringing out a new song now, it can be speculated that an album might be in the works. The DJ's previous record, "Motion," that featured artistes such as R3hab, Gwen Stefani and Big Sean, was a success, both commercially and critically.
