Issues with Sledgehammer's recently released Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare do not seem to go away even after the developer released a new update for the game's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Sledgehammer's tweet announcing that the update for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 going live did more harm than good as can be seen from the comments from players. However, the developer has replied saying "more updates are incoming" and asked players to "hang in there."
The new update for PS3/Xbox 360 that went live on 21 November, it introduced fixes on the game's marksman and camo challenges, issues with Ping Bar, fixes spawn in spectator mode, adjustment to challenges to unlock camos for weapons and adds the ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.
However, players have been complaining that after the update, they have been facing game freeze "during the end game intermission lobby," or while joining in the multiplayer matches, especially on PlayStation 3 consoles.
Others have complained that they are facing the following issue in the game:
"The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare service is not available at this time. Please try again later"
However, one of the players said the game is working fine for some.
The Work-around
Players who have downloaded the new update can try this work-around to fix the issue of game freeze. Though the below work-around might not fix the game, it might lead to a better experience.
Step 1: Download the update
Step 2: Install it
Step 3: Uninstall the update
Step 4: Re-update the game
