The next "Call of Duty" video game is to be called "Infinite Warfare," according to Reddit users, who first discovered it. The title is confirmed to be true as it appeared in a PlayStation Store listing, where it was called "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." It was found in the PlayStation Store's trending section.
Meanwhile, a Twitter user Jim Sterling has revealed via his post that this new "Call of Duty" 2016 title could be revealed next week, on May 3 to be exact.
Kotaku reported that Sony had taken off the game from its PSN listing, which in all likelihood was placed there by mistake.
Reddit users have predicted that the new video game could be related to space as the new title mentions "Infinity."
This year's "Call of Duty" has been developed by Infinity Ward. The game publisher, Activision, has a three-developer, three-year cycle for its popular first person shooter video game franchise that many call "CoD."
Reports have noted that this reveal does not come as a surprise given the fact that this is exactly when Activision reveals details about its "Call of Duty" games.
The last "Call of Duty" game was "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," developed by Sledgehammer Games in November 2015. Infinity Ward's last "Call of Duty" game was "Call of Duty: Ghosts" which was poorly received. Now Infinity Ward would want to make amends and showcase a better game for the loyal "CoD" fans.
