In October 2012, Byond Tech stated that the company intended to cover 15 percent market share and sell over 500,000 devices per annum.
However, the Indian tablet market is already congested with close to 135 tablet makers with companies flooding the Indian tablet market with affordable entry-level tablets.
The tablet maker Byond Tech first has to chalk out a strategy to face the market leader Samsung which holds 23.9 percent, followed by Micromax with 15.3 percent. Aakash maker DataWind holds 12.3 percent market share. And rest of the Indian tablet market is shared by more than 130 companies.
