Earlier this season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp stated that his team will be spending money in the summer as they look to increase their squad depth and hopefully challenge for the title too next season. The Reds have no doubt improved leaps and bounds under Klopp, but they are still inconsistent surprisingly against the smaller teams in the Premier League.
To change that and to become a more dominant force in the Premier League, Liverpool were one of the top clubs who were after in-demand Burnley defender Michael Keane and according to recent reports, the Reds have already agreed personal terms with him ahead of a £25 million move.

Keane has been really impressive under Sean Dyche this season and has seen clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton and his former club Manchester United come after him. However, reports in England suggest that Liverpool have move ahead of their rivals to land the in-demand centre-back.
Here is a look at some of Michael Keane's best defencive work for Burnley.
Kean, who also made his England debut earlier this year, was also shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award this season and is currently regarded as one of the most promising defenders in the Premier League.
He started his career at the youth ranks of Manchester United and after failing to break into the first team, he joined Burnley in January 2015 and has really made a name for himself. After getting relegated from the Premier League in his first season at the club, Keane played an important role for them in the Championship as he helped them gain promotion within one season.
He has played a crucial part in the heart of the Burnley defence this season too as they currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, safe from relegation with 40 points.
Despite agreeing personal terms and with Liverpool ready to pay Burnley's asking price of £25 million, the move could fall though. Keane is keen to play in the Champions League next season and is waiting to see if Liverpool can finish in the top four before he commits himself to the reds.
Liverpool take on West Ham away from home and Middlesbrough at home in their final two fixtures in the Premier League and they need to win both those matches if they are to qualify for the Champions League. While Liverpool will be expected to win both those games, but the fact that the Reds have been so inconsistent against smaller teams this season means anything could happen.
