Director Tigmanshu Dhulia's latest film "Bullett Raja" has maintained a steady hold on its collections during the first week.
The film failed to show any growth in its earning during the opening weekend, but it is maintaining a decent business during weekdays. The masala action drama starring Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Shergill has raked in a total of ₹30 crore within five days of its release.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the action entertainer minted ₹3.75 crore on Monday and ₹3 crore on Tuesday from the domestic box office. The opening weekend collections were quite disappointing at just ₹23.3 crore.
"Bullett Raja", though slammed by critics, has received mixed reviews from audiences. While some enjoyed the film, others felt it was Tigmanshu's worst directorial venture.
"Khatarnak movie! #BullettRaja Walking outta theatre in interval!!! #bhago," a Twitter user said.
"#bullettraja is a awesome movie," another user said.
"The best part, it doesn't have the cliches of a Tamil / Telugu movie which has become a mandate in most scripts. #BullettRaja."
"The story of a modern day Jai-Veeru, this is btr off compared to most of the othr movies tht released ths yr in the same genre. #BullettRaja."
Meanwhile, two big releases - "Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram-leela" and "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", are still running in theaters.
"Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan has fared poorly at the box office, while "Ram-leela" starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh is still dominating theatres in India.
