The travails of Dayashankar Singh seem unending at the moment. The former vice-president of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the BJP is currently on the run, and leaders of the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP), whose leader Mayawati was called "worse than a prostitute" by him, are baying for his blood. Almost literally!
While one BSP leader has said she is ready to give Rs. 50 lakh for anyone who brings her Singh's tongue, another said there is some problem with his DNA, and that he is an illegitimate child. BSP chief Mayawati herself, however, took a calmer approach to the entire issue on Thursday, saying Singh's removal from the BJP was normal. "It would have been better if they (BJP) had registered FIR against him," she said, adding: "If BJP leaders themselves had filed an FIR against Dayashankar Singh, they would have won my heart."
Her party colleagues, however, weren't as calm. BSP MLA Usha Chaudhary was heard saying in a video that Singh's own family was exactly what he had described Mayawati as. He is also heard saying: "There is something wrong in Dayashankar Singh's DNA. He is an illegitimate child."

Meanwhile, Jannat Jahan, who heads the Chandigarh unit of the BSP, said she would give Rs. 50 lakh to anyone who could bring her Singh's tongue.
Singh is currently said to be on the run, with the police looking for him everywhere. He landed in trouble on Wednesday after a video surfaced in which he is seen telling media-persons: "...This big leader of the state, Mayawati ji, first gives a ticket to someone for Rs. 1 crore, and then when someone offers her Rs. 2 crore after an hour she gives him the same ticket. And then if someone later offers Rs. 3 crore, she gives this person the ticket."
He then said further: "Mayawati ji now has a character worse than a prostitute."
