Fresh off its Diwali Dhamaka offer that offered double the data for the same price for prepaid subscribers, BSNL has now come out with an unlimited data initiative that offers unlimited 3G data and is seemingly unconventionally targeted in today's 4G LTE data rage. This offer is seemingly applicable to prepaid users across India and can be availed with a recharge of Rs 498.
As per reports, the new BSNL Rs 498 plan will offer boundless 3G data, but would be valid for a period of 14 days from the date of recharge. Gauging these details, it is imminent that this plan is a promotional offering.
Now, rumour mills are rife about this promotional offering staying active till January 7 2017. Also, both new as well as existing BSNL prepaid subscribers are reportedly eligible to enjoy unlimited 3G data on a recharge of Rs 498.
The above offering by BSNL is also said to offer high-speed internet; this aspect creates potential excitement considering the fact that a combination of high-speed and unlimited data offering makes for a lucrative deal as far as the Indian telecom scene is concerned.
If you are a BSNL loyalist, do cross-check with the company's customer-care regarding the reported 14-day validity period of the Rs 498 unlimited 3G data plan.
In the current scenario, it is also worth noting that Reliance Jio recently announced an extension of all its free 4G LTE services till March 2017, under the ambit of Happy New Year scheme. However, the Mukesh Ambani-headed company is having to battle with persistent issues like call drops and slow internet speeds.
