The Bihar exam board has been in news for its students cheating during exams for the last few years and this year too the board garnered attention, thanks to a student who was arrested and his result cancelled after allegations of fraud over age.
"We are working out the modalities. Things are in an advanced stage," Hindustan Times quoted BSEB chairman Anand Kishor as saying. Speaking about the issue Kishor added: "After the problems due to one average candidate, who resorted to forgery in connivance with a school, we will take all precautionary measures this time to prevent such recurrence, but will not like to disclose it at present."
The class 10 exams of the Bihar board were held in March and about 15 lakh students are said to have appeared for it.
Meanwhile, the BSEB declared the class 12 exam results on May 30. The class 12 exams for all the streams – commerce, arts and humanities – were conducted in February and over 13 lakh students are said to have appeared for it.
