Sidharth Malhotra is now set to appear on the big screen in the upcoming movie "Kapoor and Sons". The actor has apparently worked very hard to transform his body from a MMA fighter in "Brothers" to a boy-next-door in "Kapoor and Sons".
Sidharth has shed 10 kg of weight in just a few weeks and has been maintaining a strict diet to successfully transform his body. "Honestly, to get the right body type didn't come easy. It was so strenuous during 'Brothers' with all the pumping up involved. On the other hand, 'Kapoor and Sons' was a different ball-game altogether.
"Shakun Batra (director) had a particular look in mind and I had to make sure to get it all right before I hit the sets. Turning vegetarian and practising Yoga were just two of the many things I had to do so that losing 10 kilograms happened in good time and without any effects on my body," Sidharth told Bollywood Hungama.
"There was a strict regime he followed and it is discipline that allowed him to get into a cool-boy zone sooner than others around him must have expected," the report quoted a source as saying. "Kapoor and Sons" is a romantic comedy that also features Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and Rishi Kapoor. The film's trailer was released recently, and got good response from the audience. The film will hit the screens on March 18.
