Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra's "Brothers" is scaling new heights at the box office. The film will soon beat the lifetime box office collection record of "Dil Dhadakne Do".
In eight-day, "Brothers" has earned Rs 74.60 crore from the domestic box office. The film is now the ninth highest Bollywood grosser of 2015 and after adding its second Saturday's box office collection, "Brothers" will become eight highest grosser.
"Brothers" need approximately Rs 2.28 crore, which will be earned on its ninth day at the box office, and along with that, the film will break Rs 76 crore mark of "Dil Dhadakne Do".
The film, directed by Karan Malhotra will dominate in its second week, as the new releases have opened to a very low response.
Meanwhile, talking about the success of the film, Sidharth said that it is encouraging that people are watching his film.
"It's an encouraging thing that so many people were eager to see the film. I must be doing something that they (masses) are liking. It's extremely encouraging and positive," he told IANS.
The action-packed family drama, which is an official remake of Hollywood film "Warriors", was released on 14 August. The film is Akshay's biggest opener and Sidharth's second biggest opener after "Ek Villain".
Produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff in prominent roles.
