The cast and crew of Brooklyn Nine-Nine were visibly pleased with the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2018 and why not? Their show had just been picked up by NBC after Fox decided to pull the plug on them.
The fans too couldn't contain their excitement and were apparently heard cheering the panel on as they spilled the beans on what's coming next. What's even better is that the show isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The panel confirmed Season 6 wouldn't be the last they see of officers of the 99th precinct adding that they'd be shooting 3 finale episodes, just in case.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a massive fan following on social media and beyond. It was because of the campaign that the users ran that made NBC revive the American sitcom. After renewing it for another season, NBC Chairman Robert Greeblatt admitted having felt regret ever since his company sold rights of the show to Fox.
"Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we're all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here's to the Nine-Nine," Greenblatt told The Guardian soon after the show was brought back.
Apparently, the reason why Fox decided on canning the show was dipping TRP ratings but given the legion of fans and how passionate they are about Brooklyn Nine-Nine paints a completely different picture.
Meanwhile, here are 6 spoilers from the show. Well, almost.
- Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatrize) will continue being queer and how it affects her relationship with her parents.
- Season 6 will have 13 episodes only.
- Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) to be promoted NYPD commissioner?
- Focus on Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Amy Santiago's (Melissa Fumero) married life.

Also, did you know that the 99th precinct from the show doesn't really exist and the exterior shots are footages of the 78th precinct of NYPD. The sitcom is filmed in Studio City of Los Angeles, California.
