Acer released a new Cloud service, BYOC or Bring Your Own Cloud service, which will help users to integrate all device data across the cloud seamlessly.
To offer an enhanced experience, Acer has developed a suite of apps, abApps, which will allow users to organise all their content, namely music, photos, documents and any other files.
Acer claims these apps - abFiles, abDocs, abPhoto, abMusic, abVideo and abMedia - will allow customers to use the service as their personal cloud. In this environment the user can store, sync, and share their digital data easily across three popular operating systems, Windows, Android and iOS.
Unlike traditional Cloud service, BYOC will archive data in one's own device at home or office, where one can manage directly with more privacy. The most advanced AES encryption technology used by Acer BYOC protects the media and files while keeping them safe from harm.
Unveiling the cloud solution, Mr S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India, said, "With the launch of our BYOC solution, we have completely redefined the meaning of the cloud for our consumers. We are confident that the new service will help us empower our consumers in a more efficient and effective manner and will also help us build greater competitive advantage in the marketplace."
The BYOC app comes pre-installed on all Acer notebooks and tablet PCs running on Windows and Android operating systems.
Available in two versions, consumer and business, Acer didn't disclose the tariff detail for this service yet.
