A MiG-21 Bison aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Soibugh village in Jammu & Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday.
The pilot managed to eject from the plane safely just before the crash. He was later rescued from the crash site by an Army helicopter.
"A MiG-21 Bison of IAF crashed in Soibugh area of Budgam district at around 10.59 am, but there was no loss of life reported in the incident," Defence Spokesman Colonel SD Goswami told PTI
A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the crash.
