The Samba Boys from Brazil are set to face Australia in an international friendly match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday.
It might look like a mismatch when world's number one team Brazil meets 48th ranked side, Australia, but that is not going to deter the home team from playing wonderful football and stun Brazil, who already lost to Argentina in their last match. After their last defeat, Brazil will be more than determined to get their game right against Australia.
Brazil has not come with their best XI in Australia. Barcelona forward Neymar did not travel with the national team as he was given rest and Gabriel Jesus, who featured against Argentina, will miss their match against Australia due to injury.
However, that does not mean Brazil are a weak outfit. They always have had a good squad, and this time is no different. Players like David Luiz, Willian, Thiago Silva, Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho have to shoulder responsibility against Australia.
They have already done their homework, and know how Australia plays. It remains to be seen how will coach Tite play against their tall defenders – ball on the carpet only?
"They have a triangulation style of play and try to keep the possession of the ball. They changed their system recently and just started to win with it but their free kicks are strong. They have technical qualities but also a physical style of play because their tall players are really strong." Fox Sports quoted Tite as saying.
One thing is for sure when it comes to Australia, they will be hell bent on making life tough for the Brazilians with their physical play. It is going to be a case of Brazil's flair against Australia's physical unit. However, with Tim Cahill set to start, they have a wonderful player, who has an eye for goals.
Australia will be a confident unit after their win against Saudi Arabia in their last match, but they are aware of Brazil being a different opponent altogether.
An interesting match looms large on Tuesday.
