Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is finally ready to make his debut in Tamil cinema. He will enter Kollywood with his latest movie, "Brahmotsavam".
Mahesh Babu has been keen on making his debut in Tamil cinema. Though his movies have been dubbed in Tamil language, he has not acted in a Kollywood movie as yet. His latest film, "Brahmotsavam", will be his first Tamil film.
Earlier, Mahesh Babu was supposed to make his debut in Tamil cinema with "Ponniyin Selvan", directed by maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam. It was a historical movie that had created a massive buzz in South India.
Mahesh Babu had formally signed and given bulk dates for this flick. He had even shared his excitement about the same on Twitter. However, the project was shelved over budget issues and the actor's dream to enter Kollywood was delayed.
However, Mahesh Babu is now ready to enter Tamil cinema with a bang. The bilingual movie is directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinemas. The film has Mickey J Meyer's music, Rathnavelu's cinematography, and Sreekar Prasad's editing.
Rakul Preet Singh and Pranitha will play the female lead in "Brahmotsavam". Tamil actor Sathyaraj will be seen in a key role in the flick. The forthcoming movie will appear before audience in January 2016.
On the other end, the logo of the Telugu version of "Brahmotsavam" was released on Sunday, 31 May, and it has been met with extremely positive reviews.
