Superstar Mahesh Babu's "Brahmotsavam" has completed the formalities of the censor board and is gearing up for a grand release on May 20. It will have five shows in single screens across Telangana.
The film unit recently completed the shooting of "Brahmotsavam" and started its post-production work. The team wrapped it up by completing the pending work on special effects on Sunday. The makers reportedly held a special screening of its first copy for the officials of the censor board on Monday.
The officials were reportedly impressed with "Brahmotsavam" and awarded it a clean "U" certificate without any cuts. They reportedly said it was a good family entertainer and Srikanth Addala's script and Mahesh Babu's performances are highlights of the movie. They were all praises for its makers for the film's rich production values.
Prasad V Potluri has produced "Brahmotsavam" with a whopping budget of Rs. 75 crore under his banner PVP Cinema. The producer, who wanted the film to get a "U" certificate, is all thrilled. He wrote on the official Twitter handle of his studio: "#Brahmotsavam censored with Clean U certificate #NoCuts All set to hit bigscreens on 20th #BrahmotsavamBeginsOnMay20. [sic]"
"Brahmotsavam" has reportedly done superb business from the sale of its theatrical rights. Its distributors in different areas are making different strategies to to cash in on the craze and popularity of Mahesh Babu. Abhishek Pictures, which has acquired its Nizam rights, has planned to have one extra show in all the single screens in the area on its opening day.
The first show of "Brahmotsavam" will start at 8:10 a.m. on Friday; the boss of PVP has Cinema â€confirmed as much. The producer tweeted: "Enjoy special morning show in all single screens across Hyderabad &Telangana districts on May 20th #Brahmotsavam. [sic]"
