The young Korean heartthrob, Lee Min Ho, has left a heartfelt message to his fans across the globe, thanking them for their never-ending love and support towards him.
While interacting with a representative of Korean media outlet X Sports News, The "Boys Over Flowers' star even shared his thoughts about being called a Hallyu star, and dished out a few details about his role in the upcoming Korean drama series, "Legend of the Blue Sea."
In the interview, which was arranged as part of the network's ninth anniversary, the 29-year-old South Korean actor said that he feels honoured and grateful for being titled as a Hallyu star. However, he revealed that it does not make any difference to his celebrity life and his responsibilities as an international icon.
"I would feel the responsibility even without the title, because I know there are people around the world who are cheering for me," Min Ho said.
The "Heirs" star explained further about how Korean dramas attract people around the world to the country. According to him, many of his followers who don't understand the language or the culture expressed their interest in travelling to Korea and studying the language. "I think to myself that this is the true force of the Hallyu wave," he added.
When asked about his role in "Legend of the Blue Sea," the Hallyu star revealed that he is playing the role of a con artiste and stated that he is a bit nervous about how his fans will take it.
The "City Hunter" actor concluded his talk by leaving a message to his fans in Korea and across the globe. "Thank you for always staying by my side. I will work harder to be an actor that makes you as happy as your energy makes me," he said.
Min Ho has been chosen as the new face of the popular coffee brand, Georgia, recently. He is currently busy with the filming of his upcoming Korean drama along with actress Jun Ji Hyun of "The Girl" fame. The series will be telecast on SBS every Wednesday and Thursday from Nov. 16.
