It is time for boxing fans around the world to relax if they are thinking about Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao clash, as one does not even know if the bout will take place on 2 May at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
But one bout sure to take shape, is the clash between Gennady Golovkin and Martin Murray later today in Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Though the fight may not be talked about as much as the fight of the century, when these two boxers get ready for action, the world would be entertained, especially by Gennady Golovkin who hails from Kazakhsthan.
The Kazakh boxer has earned a huge name in the sport of boxing, as he has not lost a single bout in his professional career winning 28 of his 31 fights via knock outs.
The English boxer might not have an impressive record as that of the Kazakh boxer, but expect Murray to come out all guns blazing.
The last time Murray lost in a professional bout dates back to 2013 against Sergio Martinez from Argentina.
Murray seems to be in a confident mood ahead of the mega fight as well. "Some of Golovkin's opponents might give him too much respect, but I can be just as nasty as anybody when I have to be," BBC quoted him as saying.
"Come fight night, I'm going to want to rip his head off. I'm sure he's a nice guy but he'll be the same way. He wants to take something from me and I want to hurt him."
Having said that, Murray is aware of the beast of a person he is up against, for the Kazakh does not possess much weakness and has even drawn comparison to Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson.
Knocking out Golovkin is something, which no one has been able to do in history till date in his 381 fights, including amateur fights. On the contrary, he loves flooring people and his punches from either hand can knock out boxers.
What makes him a special boxer is his excellent footwork and his balance on the ring as well.
Many experts claim the Kazakh boxer to be the favourite. But, if Golovkin fails to knock out Murray and with the game stretching to final rounds of the bout, Murray might have an edge.
