With just a few days remaining for the mega bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on 2 May at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Filipino has posted a music video, which has gone viral.
The video titled, "Lalaban Ako Para Sa Filipino" translates to 'I am going to fight for Filipinos'. Pacquiao is a national icon in Philippines and this video just establishes the special love he has for the people of his country.
The 4 minute, 16 second video features the boxer singing the song, dressed in a black leather jacket in a recording studio. It primarily starts off with the clippings of the boxer training on the streets. Add to it, the video also shows the poor condition of the people in Philippines along with the disasters that have struck the nation.
Though one might not be able to understand the lyrics of the song, with the people of his native country in the background, it goes without saying that the song stands true to the title.
Apart from the Filipinos in the music video, it also features some clippings of his fights in the past, where he might have been at the receiving end along with his customary punch and jabs, knocking down opponents with his fierce left hand.
The video also provides a glimpse of what Pacquiao can come up with against Mayweather at MGM Grand.
Here is the video.
The bout between the two has been one of the most anticipated fights in boxing history. Many experts, though, feel that had the fight taken place five years ago, it could have been better, for both boxers were in their prime.
But, take nothing away from both these boxers today as well. They might be past their prime, but yet they still have experience and quality on their side.
