There is no denying the fact that Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest boxers in history and the same can be said for Floyd Mayweather. Both the boxers have an impressive record in their professional career.
Mayweather's resume looks more impressive than Pacquiao's without a shadow of doubt, as the American has not lost a single bout in his 47 previous bouts. He has knocked out 26 of his opponents.
So when Mayweather sets his foot inside the ring at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Filipino will be his 48th opponent and the American knows it could prove to be the biggest fight in his career.
Pacquaio has fought 64 fights and has been the second best on five instances, though he has floored opponents an impressive 38 times.
"A lot of guys do a lot of things wrong, but they are still successful," Mayweather told Mlive.com. But, it would be wrong for anyone to put Pacquaio in that bracket of boxers who might have done a lot of wrong things. Pacquiao's record speaks for itself.
Mayweather in fact wants to know exactly as to what the Filipino does right. If the American really wants to know, there is a whole list of things that he does right and might be difficult for Mayweather to encounter them inside the ring.
Pacquiao is one of the quickest boxers in the circuit, who moves from one corner to the other in a matter of seconds and bags an aggressive punch as well. The American has not faced a boxer like Manny Pacquiao.
"So I want to know what he [Pacquiao] does right, so I can take that away from him, so I can take that arsenal away from him. What I do, when I'm facing a guy, whatever he does good, I take that away from him, so he has to resort to doing something different."
Both the boxers are undergoing some rigorous training with their respective trainers. Both the camps must be studying tapes about their opponent's previous fights.
Hence one can expect a high intensity bout on 2 May between the two.
The Pretty Boy considers Pac-Man to be reckless, who makes mistakes as well.
"I just want to look good for myself. I want to look very impressive. I'm pretty sure he's going to bring his A-game, and it's all about excitement. I got here somehow, some way. He's a solid competitor, but very reckless, and he makes a lot of mistakes."
"But he's been successful. Remember what I said – you've got guys that make a lot of mistakes but still are successful."
