Ram Charan's family entertainer "Govindudu Andarivadele" ("GAV") is gearing up for a big release worldwide. The film is expected to release in around 1,200 screens including more than 750 screens in AP/Nizam area.
Directed by Krishna Vamsi, "GAV" will reportedly have Ram Charan appearing in the role of an NRI. Kajal Aggarwal plays his female lead for the third time after "Magadheera" and "Naayak," both of which have turned out to be big hits at the box office.
"GAV" also has Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Jayasudha and Kamalinee Mukherjee in supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the project is produced by Ganesh Bandla. The Ram Charan starrer is carrying positive pre-release buzz owing to impressive teaser, trailer and the songs.
The film is likely to take good openings on the first day of its release. It will be enjoying a long weekend (from 1 to 5 October) for Dussehra. The long weekend is expected to work in the film's favour and help in boosting its collections.
"GAV" will be having a solo release with no other Telugu film releasing on the same day. It is likely to dominate the screens in AP/Nizam areas. However, it needs to be see how the film fares in other states and overseas markets as a few other-language films including "Bang Bang" (Hindi) and "Yaan" (Tamil) are releasing on 2 October.
The family entertainer is Ram Charan's eighth film with several of his past films having turned out to be successful ones including "Magadheera", "Naayak", "Racha" and "Yevadu."
"Magadheera" is an industry with more than ₹70 crore share at the worldwide box office. His films, "Yevadu" and "Naayak", have also made it to the list of all time top 10 worldwide share (Telugu films).
Ram Charan is on a roll with back-to-back successful films and the actor will be hoping to continue his success streak with "GAV." While the family entertainer is likely to take fantastic openings, it will be interesting if the Ram Charan starrer will be able to set new records.
Trade experts and fans will be eager to see whether the film will be able to break the opening-day share of Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi", which had minted ₹10.75 crore share. The film, which hit the screens in 2013, still has managed to remain on top with the highest day one AP/Nizam share.
