Ranbir Kapoor's new film, "Rockstar," had a fair opening at the box office. In some big cities and multiplexes, the film had a collection of nearly 100 percent.
According to an early box office report by trade expert and editor of koimoi.com, Komal Nahta, "Rockstar" has netted Rs. 11 crore on Nov. 11, 2011.
In fact, the strong opening didn't come as a surprise since director Imtiaz Ali, Ranbir Kapoor and music director A.R. Rahman promoted the film at their best.
However, the response in small towns/cities was not strong, with the box office collections ranging from 40 percent to 60 percent.
But trade experts are speculating larger sales and box office volume over the weekend.
