The upcoming Malayalam movie, the Nivin Pauly-starrer "Jacobinte Swargarajyam" (JSR), which has been directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, is expected to cross the box office record of Nivin's previous release, "Action Hero Biju." "JSR" is poised to hit over 150 screens in India Friday, April 8.
The film, said to be based on the real-life story of an NRI family settled in Dubai, will be released in 75 screens in Kerala, and with English subtitles in another 77 theatres in the rest of the country, including Bengaluru, Mysore, Mangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Gujarat, and Delhi/NCR. With the total screen count surpassing that of "Action Hero Biju" — the latter was released in 131 screens in Kerala —"JSR" has excellent chances to cross its collection record.

The cop movie "Action Hero Biju" is the actor's biggest opening till date, with an approximate collection amount of Rs 1.59 crore at the Kerala box office alone. Since the ticket prices in multiplexes outside Kerala are higher as compared to those in the state, it's extremely likely that the collections of the upcoming movie will surpass his existing record.

Also, what works in Nivin's favour is the stupendous fan following he earned in Kerala and Tamil Nadu after his blockbuster, the Alphonse Puthren-directed "Premam" was released last year. Viewers now believe that his movies are certain to cross the Rs. 1 crore mark on the first day of the release.
"JSR" is a two-hour, 25-minute movie, which has an ensemble cast, with Renji Panicker, Lekshmi Ramakrishnan, Sreenath Bhasi, Reba Monica John, Ashwin Kumar, Aima Rosmy Sebastian, Stacen, Sai Kumar, TG Ravi and Dinesh Prabhakar playing pivotal roles. This is the first time the actor-director duo has got together for a family entertainer, a fact that is being seen as a USP of the movie. "JSR" is being produced under the banner of Big Bang Entertainments by debutant Noble Babu Thomas and is distributed throughout India by LJ films.
