Siddharth-Lakshmi Menon's "Jigarthanda" continues to dominate the Chennai box office, even in its second week.
With no other Tamil releases during the last weekend, "Jigarthanda" has had a successful run at the box office. The film took a good opening and minted ₹2.03 crore in 10 days at the Chennai box office, according to Behindwoods.
The musical gangster film has managed to maintain its business, thanks to the positive feedback from the critics and audience. It is expected to dominate the screens until the release of Suriya's "Anjaan" on 15 August.

The film is likely to be remade in Bollywood, according to the latest reports. Apparently, some Bollywood producers have evinced interest in remaking the film. However, nothing has been finalised yet.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, "Jigarthanda" is about an aspiring filmmaker who does a case study on a real gangster to make a gangster film. The film has Simha and Karunakaran in supporting roles.
