Arya's latest movie "Yatchan" has failed to make a big impact at the US box office. The Tamil movie has also failed to beat Hindi films like "Hero", "Phantom" and "Welcome Back".
Among the Indian movies in the US, it is Telugu film "Bhale Bhale Magadivoi" that is in the top position, reports Bollywood Hungama. Ranked at 29, the film did a business of $265,376 (Rs 17.62 lakh) from 84 screens in its second weekend. The total collection of this Telugu film now stands at $1,226,387 (Rs 8.13 crore).
Hindi film "Welcome Back" is in the second position and ranks at 37th place in the US. The Bollywood movie raked in $169,119 (Rs 11.23 lakh) from 111 screens in its second weekend. The total collection of the film now stands at $ 952,988 (Rs 6.32 crore).
Punjabi movie "Jinda Sukha" in its first weekend has collected $28,446 (Rs 18.88 lakh). It is followed by "Phantom", which minted $7,118 (Rs 4.72 lakh) from 14 screens. The total business of the movie by the end of its third weekend stands at $355,251 (Rs 2.35 crore).
"Yatchan" comes next with the movie making $5,956 (Rs 3.95 lakh) from 14 screens. There are no signs of the Tamil movie performing well as it is getting negative reviews among netizens.
Salman Khan's blockbuster "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is still being played in some theatres in the US. In its ninth week, the film earned $4,503 (Rs 2.99 lakh) from five screens to take its total tally to $6,265,538 (Rs 41.56 crore).
Malayalam film "Loham" made $3,564 (Rs 2.36 lakh) from seven screens to take its total tally to $30,852 (Rs 20.46 lakh). Kannada movie "Uppi 2" has collected $3,294 (Rs 2.18 lakh) and the total collection of the film now stands at $43,859 (Rs 28.91 lakh).
The Hindi version of "Baahubali", in its eighth weekend, raked in $2,932 (Rs 1.94 lakh) from three screens. The total collection of this film now stands at $485,763 ($3.22 crore).
Telugu movies like "Srimanthudu", "Samba", Hindi movie "Drishyam", Tamil movie "Paayum Puli" and Punjabi film "Faraar" are the other Indian films that were screened in the US in the last weekend.
