"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and "Piku", which are both purely content driven, have gone to be the biggest movies of Bollywood in 2015 in terms of box office collection.
The success of both lies in the fact that both the movies have managed to get good theatre occupancy and collections, not only on weekends but also on weekdays.
The box office collection of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" on its first Wednesday (27 May) stands at ₹7.70 crore. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the total collection of the film in India has reached ₹62.95 crore. The movie therefore is on its way to be the biggest Bollywood grosser of 2015 in India.

Meanwhile, "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" is also doing a great job at overseas box office with total five days collection of ₹22 crore.

At the same time , Deepika Padukone-Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Piku", which was expected to enter the ₹100 crore club soon, has slowed down after the release of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns."
The box office collection of "Piku" till Wednesday stands at ₹74.33 crore. The movie has already crossed ₹100 crore mark when it comes to worldwide collection.
