"Srimanthudu" has done decent collection at the worldwide box office in its fourth week and topped the business chart, pushing down "Kick 2" and "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) to the second and third places respectively.
The Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan-starrer lost out some amount of cinema halls to new releases. The film witnessed over 50% drop in its business, when compared to its collection in the third week. "Srimanthudu" is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 9.5 crore at the worldwide box office in its fourth week. Its 28-day global total stands at Rs 165.5 crore.
Having grossed Rs 35 crore in the first week, "Kick 2" showed a considerable drop in its collection in the second week. The Ravi Teja-starrer is estimated to have grossed around Rs 8.5 crore at the worldwide box office, taking its 14-day total to Rs 43.5 crore. The distributors of the film have earned an estimated Rs 28 crore.
"Baahubali - the Beginning", which released in theatres on 10 July, has hit the rock bottom in its eighth week. The movie was seen running with decent occupancy in a limited number of cinema halls across the globe. The SS Rajamouli-directed film is estimated to have grossed Rs 3 crore at the worldwide box office, taking its 56-day gross total to Rs 598 crore.
However, three much-awaited movies like "Bhale Bhale Magadivoy", "Dynamite" and "Jayasurya", which have released in theatres this Friday, have snatched a large amount of theatres of "Srimanthudu", "Kick 2 and "Baahubali". With positive response from the viewers, they are expected to take toll on the business of the old releases.
