After becoming the highest grossing Marathi film in India, "Sairat" has achieved a new feat and this time in the international market. "Sairat" is all set to create magic at the UAE-GCC box office.
"Sairat" has become the first Marathi film to get a theatrical release in the Gulf region. VOX Cinemas, a cinema chain in the UAE, confirmed the news on Twitter. The tweet said that the film is running in several screens with English subtitles.
"#Sairat is the 1st Marathi film to receive a cinematic release in the UAE! Now showing with English subtitles at VOX," VOX Cinemas' tweet read.
The film was screened in Dubai, where it opened to a positive response. According to the Times of India report, most of the shows of "Sairat" at the UAE-GCC box office have been sold out.
Meanwhile, the film continues to create records at the box office in India. Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar-starrer "Sairat" has minted more than Rs. 65 crore and is now inching towards the Rs. 100 crore mark. In India, due to increase in demand, the makers have added more screens, which has shown a positive impact at the box office.
"Sairat," directed by Nagraj Manjule, is now an all time blockbuster hit film. The love saga is set in the backdrop of caste discrimination. The film, which features Rinku and Akash in the lead roles, has been received well by all and is setting new benchmarks at the box office for all the new releases.
