Sivakarthikeyan's Remo has struck gold at the box office. The Tamil movie has made an earth-shattering collection in its 3-day first weekend, thereby overpowering other releases like Devi and Rekka.
The production house confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote: "Happy 2 share our Distributors Report:Day-2 collection of REMO beats http://Day-1.Day -3 beats Day1&2..phenomenal n record breaking [sic]."
Remo had minted over Rs 6 crore on the first day and the movie has seen substantial growth on the following days. Early estimates say that the Tamil movie has raked in over Rs 20 crore, which is a record-breaking number for a Sivakarthikeyan film.
The Tamil movie enjoyed good occupancy rate, which has helped the movie to come out with flying colours. "Distributors and theatre owners spoke to me.confirms 100% occupancy All over.everybody makes profits.overflow comes to everyone.SO HAPPY [sic]," producer RD Raja shared his excitement on Twitter.
On the other hand, Rekka and Devi too have good enjoyed good occupancy rates. However, the collections of these two films are no match to Remo, say trade experts. Both the flicks have earned less than Rs 10 crore in three days.
All the three films are expected to perform well for the next few days due to Navaratri holiday season.
