Kangana Ranaut's "Queen" registered the highest third-weekend figures this year as the film raked in around ₹6.85 crore.

Even big budget films that released this year, starring big names, had failed to register an average third weekend but "Queen" has topped the chart with strong collections. The coming-of-age film, directed by Vikas Bahl, has maintained a strong hold at the box office and remained unaffected by the array of new releases.

"#Queen [Week 3] Fri 1.35 cr, Sat 2.50 cr, Sun 3 cr. Grand total: ₹46.85 cr nett. India biz. Fantastic," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The highest third-weekend total this year was of Salman Khan's "Jai Ho", which minted around ₹2.25 crore, followed by Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor starrer "Gunday", which raked in ₹1.34 crore.

The 17-day total of "Queen" now stands at ₹46.85 crore nett.

The film will surpass the ₹50 crore mark within this week and might take its lifetime collections to ₹55 crore. And if the film continues to remain strong in its fourth week, the lifetime total would even touch the ₹60 crore mark.

Meanwhile, "Bewakoofiyaan", starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles, has declined at the box office in its second week. The film is still running in India but the screen count has declined drastically in major cities.

"Bewakoofiyaan" will have a low second-week earnings and might go out of theatres in its third week as new three films will hit the screens this week.
