"Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" (PKP 2) has done good collection at the India box office in its first week and beaten the two and three week business records of "Jazbaa" and "Talvar", respectively in seven days.
"Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" was released in 2200 cinema halls in the domestic market on 16 October and debuted with a superb response on Friday. The good word-of-mouth took its business upwards on the following days. The film collected Rs 22.75 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first weekend.
When compared to its opening day collection, "Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" witnessed a drop of 32% on Monday and its business further went down on Tuesday. The movie witnessed decent growth on Wednesday and Thursday due to Dussehra holidays. The film has collected Rs 16.5 crore nett at the Indian box office on weekdays.
"Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" has collected Rs 39.25 crore at the Indian box office in its first week.

Last week's release "Jazbaa", which marks the comeback of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was forced out of many theatres by "Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2". The movie collected Rs 21.57 crore in the first week, but witnessed over 80% drop in business in its second week. The film has collected Rs 3.46 crore nett at the Indian box office, taking its 14-day domestic total collection to Rs 25.04 crore nett.

Irrfan Khan's "Talvar", which was released in theatres on 2 October, collected Rs 15.55 crore nett in its first week. The film witnessed over 30% dip in business and collected Rs 10.40 crore in its second week. In its third week, the film raked in Rs 3.38 crore in the domestic market and its business is almost on par with the second week collection of "Jazbaa".
"Talvar" has collected Rs 29.33 crore nett at the Indian box office in three weeks and become one of the big money spinners of the year. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Talvar [Week 3] Fri 50 lacs, Sat 85 lacs, Sun 90 lacs, Mon 30 lacs, Tue 30 lacs, Wed 35 lacs, Thu 18 lacs. Total: ₹ 29.33 cr. India biz."
