Erotic thriller "Hate Story 3" remained steady at the domestic box office in its second weekend and the 10-day box office collection of "Hate Story 3" has almost touched the Rs 50 crore mark.
"Hate Story 3" fell short of Rs 55 lakh to cross Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. Till its second weekend, the film earned Rs 49.45 crore from Indian markets.
The erotic thriller will cross Rs 50 crore mark on its 11th day (Monday) at the box office.
"#HateStory3 [Week 2] Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 2.25 cr, Sun 2.75 cr. Total: ₹ 49.45 cr. India biz. Should cross ₹ 50 cr today [Monday]," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Directed by Vishal Pandya, the film has earned 274 percent profit from just its box office run. It is one of the most successful films of 2015 and to celebrate the success, the makers organised a party.
Talking about "Hate Story 3" success, lead actor Sharman Joshi said that he is relived as the film is a hit.
"I was going through a low phase with my three films back-to-back not working. Getting a hit was very important. The success of 'Hate Story 3' has given me that confidence again. It's a great feeling, but now I have to work harder for the next one and hope it is a success too," Sharman told Press Trust of India.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Salman Khan's film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" completed four weeks and it has still managed to hold a place in theaters. "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" completed 32 days in theaters worldwide.
The Salman starrer earned approximately Rs 25 lakh in its fifth weekend, which took its overall business to more than Rs 207 crore.
Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film features Salman, Sonam Kapoor in the lead role and Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli, Deepak Dobriyal and Swara Bhaskar in supporting roles.
