Sonam Kapoor's "Neerja" has shattered Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut's movie records, while "Jai Gangaajal" has made it to the top 10 grossers list of 2016.

Sonam-starrer "Neerja" is running successfully at the domestic box office. "Neerja," which is the second highest grosser of 2016, has surpassed the lifetime box office collection records of Priyanka's female centric film "Mary Kom" and Kangana's "Queen." Priyanka's "Mary Kom" earned Rs 56.5 crore, while "Queen" minted Rs 61 crore in its lifetime run.
"Neerja" is now the highest female centric Bollywood film ever, with Rs 65.24 crore net domestic box office collection.

"Neerja," which is based on the real-life story of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, was released in approximately 700 theatres Feb. 19. The film, directed by Ram Madhvani, features Sonam as Neerja, Shabana Azmi as her mother, Yogendra Tiku as her father and Shekhar Ravjiani as her love interest.
Jai Gangaajal
Prakash Jha's directorial "Jai Gangaajal" is now among the top 10 highest grossers of this year. "Jai Gangaajal" is now the eighth highest grosser of this year. With a four-day box office collection of Rs 22.50 crore, "Jai Gangaajal" has shattered the records of Katrina Kaif-Aditya Roy Kapur starrer "Fitoor" (Rs 19.28 crore) and "Saala Khadoos" (Rs 14.79 crore), Koimoi.com reports.
The Priyanka-starrer will soon break the records of Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam-starrer "Sanam Re" in India.
"Jai Gangaajal" features Priyanka as Superintendent of Police Abha Mathur, Prakash, who is making his acting debut, as inspector Bhola Nath Singh aka B.N. Singh and Manav Kaul as the main antagonist.
