Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal starrer "Raman Raghav 2.0" had an average start at the box office, while Hollywood movie "Independence Day: Resurgence" opened on a good note in India.
The crime thriller, directed by Anurag Kashyap, opened with good reviews on Friday, but the box office collection was average. The opening day box office collection of Nawazuddin-starrer "Raman Raghav 2.0" stands at Rs. 1.10 crore.
"Raman Raghav 2.0 Fri ₹ 1.10 cr. India biz. #RamanRaghav2," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Though the opening of "Raman Raghav 2.0" was average, the film should show some good growth on Saturday and Sunday. The film is carrying a strong word of mouth, which will help the collection to grow over the weekend.
Directed by Anurag, crime thriller "Raman Raghav 2.0" features Nawazuddin, Vicky and Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead roles. The film is on serial killer Raman Raghav, who gave sleepless nights to the people of Bombay in the mid-1960s.
Independence Day: Resurgence
Roland Emmerich's directorial "Independence Day: Resurgence" had a better opening than the Bollywood films released this Friday. The opening day box office collection of "Independence Day: Resurgence" is Rs. 4.70 crore.

The Hollywood film will dominate the weekend with good occupancy at the box office.
"Independence Day: Resurgence" is a sequel to the 1996 film "Independence Day." The film features Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward and William Fichtner in pivotal roles.
