Kapil Sharma's debut movie "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" (KKPK) might have failed to impress critics, but the film has won audiences' hearts in India on its release.
The romantic comedy film "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon", directed by Abbas Mustan, has opened to packed houses at several theaters in India and the negative reviews from critics have not hampered the opening day occupancy of the film at the domestic box office.
The opening day occupancy is in the range of 30 to 40%, which is much better than several movies with big stars. And now trade analysts are expecting the film to have a good opening day as well as good opening weekend at the box office.
"Heartening news! #KisKiskoPyaarKaroon gets the audience ka pyaar. Opens very well. Biz expected to multiply over the weekend. Super," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
"Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" features Kapil, Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Phadnis, Amrita Puri, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram, Sai Lokur, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena, Manoj Joshi, Sharad Sankla (Charlie), and Johnny Lever's daughter Jamie Lever.
The romantic comedy film has opened with "Calendar Girls" and "Bhaag Johnny" at the box office. However, its only "KKPK" and "Calendar Girls" that has opened to good occupancy.
"Bhaag Johnny" starring Kunal Khemu and Zoa Morani has opened to low occupancy.
"Calendar Girls", directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, features Akanksha Puri, Kyra Dutt, Avani Modi, Satarupa Pyne and Ruhi Singh in the lead roles. Like "KKPK", "Calendar Girls" has opened to negative reviews. But the film is expected to have an average start at the box office.
