"Jai Ho", starring Salman Khan and Daisy Shah, dropped drastically on its second Friday at the box office. The recently released "One By Two" has affected the box office run of the Salman starrer in India.
Abhay Deol starrer "One By Two" received mixed to negative reviews from critics but it still affected "Jai Ho" income.
"Jai Ho" raked in only ₹3 crore on Friday, taking its overall score to ₹91.78 crore. The second Friday's drop is 80 percent compared to the opening day.
Since "One By Two" got panned by critics, it was expected that "Jai Ho" would continue to rake in moolah. But the film's second Friday income is shockingly low.
The political dramatization featuring Tabu was relied upon to touch the ₹100 crore by second weekend but the low profits will make it troublesome to cross the mark by the stipulated time.
"Jai Ho" will most likely see an increase in its earnings during the second Saturday and Sunday but there is no denying that the film is not faring as expected by trade analysts.
The romantic comedy "One By Two" has not been accepted by audiences as well. The film, which features real life couple Abhay and Preeti Desai in lead roles, has failed to even cross the ₹1 crore mark on the opening day.
The film opened with dull occupancy and only the Delhi circuit had performed quite well.
Till the release of "Hasee Toh Phasee" next week, Salman's film will dominate the market by faring better than "One By Two".
