Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh-starrer "Housefull 3" is now Bollywood's fifth highest box office grosser of 2016. The comedy-drama made it to the top five highest grossers of 2016 list after beating the lifetime box office record of Fawad Khan-Sidharth Malhotra starrer "Kapoor and Sons" and also grossed Rs. 100 crore in India.
"Housefull 3" is Akshay's second film of the year to take its gross income to over Rs. 100 crore mark at the domestic box office. His first film of the year "Airlift," which is the highest grosser until now, was the first to take its domestic total to Rs. 100 crore. Simultaneously, the film has also shattered the lifetime box office collection record of "Kapoor and Sons."
"Kapoor and Sons" earned Rs. 73.29 crore in its four-week theatrical run and "Housefull 3" pushed past that collection record in just five days. After "Kapoor and Sons," the Akshay-starrer is set to break the records of Sonam Kapoor's "Neerja." The comedy-drama will beat "Neerja" record with its first-week income.

At the worldwide box office, the film is inching towards Rs. 150 crore mark. Sajid-Farhad's directorial has taken its gross total to Rs. 130 crore (Rs. 104 gross domestic + Rs. 26.77 crore overseas) until now and by the end of the first week it should cross Rs. 150 crore mark.
Directed by Sajid-Farhad, "Housefull 3" features Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon in the lead roles. The comedy-drama also has Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff and Chunky Pandey in pivotal roles.
