With Indian Premiere League season seven coming to an end, box office has witnessed growth in its busniess.
On 23 May, three films were released at the domestic box office which includes "Heropanti," Hindi version of "Kochadaiiyaan" and Hollywood film "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
While, "Heropanti" and "X-Men" had opened on a good note, "Kochadaiiyaan" was slightly low in north circuits.
Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer masala entertainer film "Heropanti" had a pretty good opening weekend business wise. The film helmed by Sabbir Khan raked in around ₹21.33 crore from foremost weekend.
"#Heropanti *revised* Fri 6.63 cr, Sat 6.42 cr, Sun 8.28 cr. Total: ₹ 21.33 nett. India biz. Huge growth on Sunday. EXCELLENT," trade analyst and film critic Taran Adrash tweeted.
Considering the fact that the film features newcomer in the lead roles, the first three days business of the film is very good. Infact, the film has shattered the opening weekend record of Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Bhoothnath Returns" by big margin.

Meanwhile, "Heropanti" which was slammed by several critics has become the first choice of moviegoers in India. Released in 2000 screens, the film managed to pull the crowds.
The opening day and second day business was steady, and it picked up on Sunday. The masala entertainer stood strong at the box office despite facing competition from the Hindi version of Rajinikanth starrer "Kochadaiiyaan," but in south it got affected badly.
Nonethless, the film has turned out to be a success at the box office. With "Heropanti", "2 States" and "Highway" maker Sajid Nadiadwala has strike a hat-trick at the box office chart.
Rajinikanth's 3D animated film "Kochadaiiyaan" had a dull opening weekend in north circuits where it was not accepted by moviegoers. But business from south box office has compenstated for north circuits.
Even Deepika Padukone and Jackie Shroff factor in the film failed to pull the crowd towards it in north.
"#Kochadaiiyaan weekend breakup [gross figures]: India ₹ 30 cr. Overseas ₹ 12 cr," Adarsh tweeted.
