Check out the box-office collections of Hindi films "Zid," "Ungli," "Happy Ending" and "Kill Dil."
Ungli
The Emraan Hashmi-Kangana Ranaut starrer "Ungli" has witnessed only a slight growth on the second day at the domestic box office. "Ungli" minted Rs.₹4 crore on the second day and the film's two-day collections amount to Rs. 7.60 crore, according to Koimoi. The film is expected to pick up on Sunday considering it has got decent reviews from the critics.
Zid
Newcomer Mannara's "Zid" got a decent opening on the first day of its release. However, the film failed pick up on its first Saturday and its two-day collections amount to Rs.₹5.56 crore at the Indian box office. It remains to be seen as to how the film fares in the coming days. Positive word of mouth would have helped the film, with a new star cast, to pick up business. But, "Zid" has received negative reviews from the critics and this might affect its business.
Happy Ending
Saif Ali Khan-Ileana's "Happy Ending" has managed to fetch only around ₹Rs. 21 crore in nine days at the domestic box office. The film received decent reviews from the critics, but has failed to cash in on them. Its performance has been dull in the first week and has continued to decline in the second week.
"Happy Ending" did not witness much growth in its performance and is expected to close its business soon.
Kill Dil
Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra's "Kill Dil" had a disappointing second week at the Indian box office. The film has managed to mint Rs. 34 crore at the end of the second week, according to Koimoi.
"Kill Dil" had a positive pre-release buzz, but the film failed to make big openings despite having a big star cast including Ranveer, Parineeti, Ali Zafar and Govinda. The film minted Rs. 31 crore in nine days at the box office and its 14-day collections stand at Rs. 34 crore.
With all the new releases having failed to perform as expected, all eyes will be on Ajay Devgn's "Action Jackson" which is set to hit the screens on 5 December. Devgn's last release "Singham Returns" performed exceptionally well at the box office and minted over Rs. 100 crore in India. It remains to be seen if "Action Jackson" will be able to reprise the success of "Singham Returns".
