Sushant Singh Rajput's much-awaited film "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!" is finally releasing worldwide on Friday. After "NH10", "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!" is the first big budget movie releasing worldwide.
Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the film has already garnered positive buzz with its promos. The film is expected to have a good start as the overall buzz is in the favour of the movie.
But a lot depends on word of mouth as well because this year's releases have worked only due to strong word of mouth from audiences, critics and celebrities.
"Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!" features Sushant Singh Rajput, who has a good fan following. Sushant's character and his look in the film have created curiosity among moviegoers.
Another reason why the film has generated positive response is director Dibakar Banerjee, who has previously directed films including "Khosla Ka Ghosla" and "Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye".
Keeping all the factors in mind, the opening day occupancy is expected to be around 30 to 40%. The occupancy is expected to increase further during the weekend, if word of mouth is in the favor of the film.
The film also has an advantage of a solo and big release after three weeks.
But it will also face competition from Hollywood film "Fast and Furious 7" at domestic box office. "Fast and Furious 7" is one of the biggest international releases of 2015.
It is also Paul Walker's last film and hence it won't be surprising if the film performs better than Bollywood film "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!" in its opening weekend.
