"Ek Villain", which hit screens on 27 June, has received fantastic response from both critics as well as the audience. Despite new releases, the film managed to complete the first week on a good note. It has continued to perform well in its second week and will close it by crossing the ₹100 crore mark. The film might surpass "2 States" lifetime collections, which amount to more than ₹102 crore, in another few days.
It remains to be seen if the film will be able to continue its good business in its third weekend (11-13 July) once Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt's "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" releases on 11 July. The release of the new film is likely to reduce the screen count for "Ek Villain" and also affect its business. Nevertheless, the romantic thriller film has already been declared a blockbuster at the domestic box office. The film has made a profit over 184 percent, reported Koimoi.
With the success of "Ek Villain", the lead actors of the film Malhotra, Deshmukh and Kapoor are riding a wave thanks to their impressive performances.
"Bobby Jasoos"
Vidya Balan's "Bobby Jasoos" has crossed the ₹10-crore mark at the end of six days, according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film received decent reviews from critics, however, its collections have been just average. Although the comedy entertainer witnessed some growth in its first weekend, its collections have consistently dropped during the weekdays.

With the release of "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania," "Bobby Jasoos" might lose some shows, affecting its business.
