"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" box office collection has slowed down, but looks like the full stop is still quite far away. On the other hand, last week's release "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" box office income has dropped drastically, whereas "Dil Dhadakne Do" continues to fare better than the former film.
Hamari Adhuri Kahani
Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Rajkummar Rao starrer "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" box office earnings dropped as the film entered its second week in India. The love saga survived in its first week, but after the release of "ABCD 2" the business of the film crashed.
"Hamari Adhuri Kahani" second Friday box office collection is lower than "Dil Dhadakne Do". Emraan-Vidya starrer earned just ₹60 lakh on second Friday, according to Box Office India.
Nevertheless, the film made a profit of 11% from its first week business. Mohit Suri's directorial film might take its second weekend total to ₹30 crore and lifetime earnings to around ₹40 crore.
Dil Dhadakne Do
The third Friday box office collection of Zoya Akhtar's directorial film 'Dil Dhadakne Do" is approximately ₹65 lakh, whereas the second Friday earnings of "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" earned ₹60 lakh.
"Dil Dhadakne Do" has registered the fifth highest box office collection this year and is now trying to pull down Deepika Padukone's "Piku" total to take the fourth spot. "Piku" lifetime total rests at approximately ₹79 crore.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns
Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan starrer "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" entered its fifth week but it continues to draw audience.
According to Box Office India, "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" earned ₹35 lakh on fifth Friday. The total box office collection of Kangana starrer after four weeks is ₹145 crore.
Directed by Anand L Rai, the film was released on 22 May worldwide.
