Dhoom 3
The film that has Aamir Khan in the lead role has set a new target for future Bollywood films. The action thriller, which has become the biggest revenue earner, touched the ₹284.27 crore mark in India within five weeks.
In its fifth week "Dhoom 3" managed to rake in ₹1.47 crore from its Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.
"#Dhoom3 language-wise breakup: Hindi ₹ 271.48 cr. Tamil & Telugu ₹ 12.79 cr. Grand total: ₹ 284.27 cr nett. India biz only," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
"#Dhoom3 India biz: *Nett* ₹ 284.27 cr. *Gross* ₹ 369.55 cr."
The film will not cross the ₹300 crore mark as its box office run has almost stopped but it has set a new benchmark in collections with a total of ₹284 crore.
Dedh Ishqiya
Madhuri Dixit Nene starrer dominated the market in its second week despite the earnings dropping by around 50 to 60 percent. The second week accumulations were approximately ₹6.25 crore nett, taking the overall 14-day figure to ₹24.50 crore.
The earnings of "Dedh Ishqiya" will be affected as the film's number of shows in both single screens and multiplexes has come down due to the release of "Jai Ho".
Yaariyan
When compared with the first week, the second week earnings of "Yaariyan" was pretty low. It earned approximately ₹4 crore from its second week, taking its overall score to ₹27 crore.
The two-week amount is decent considering the fact that the film featured newcomers in lead roles and also the reviews were not in the favour of it.
