Box Office Collection: ‘Dhoom 3’ Sets New Targets; Beats SRK’s ‘My Name is Khan’ at Overseas Market

The action thriller film, "Dhoom 3" has completed its two-week marvelous run at the domestic and overseas box office. The all time blockbuster film made a business of ₹4.61 crore on second Friday, taking its overall domestic score to ₹257.31 crore.

Released in 4500 screens in India, the film has taken its nett total to ₹257 crore and gross total to ₹334.50 crore.

"Dhoom3 total after 2 weeks [India biz]: Nett amount - ₹ 257.31 cr. Gross amount - ₹ 334.50 cr. #Dhoom3 [Week 2]: Hindi ₹ 66.27 cr, Tamil & Telugu ₹ 2.06 cr. Total: Hindi ₹ 245.24 cr, Tamil & Telugu ₹ 12.07 cr. Grand total: ₹ 257.31 cr," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.  

"Dhoom 3- All Languages 2nd Thursday Hindi Rs 4.46 Cr Tamil & Telugu Rs 0.15 Cr Total Rs 4.61 Cr Grand Total:- Rs 257.31 Cr."

In international market, the film was released in more than 750 screens. The film managed to take its 13 days overseas total to ₹143.42 crore, which is the second highest collection after "3 Idiots".

"#Dhoom3 *Overseas total* till Wednesday: $ 23.01 million [₹ 143.42 cr]. All Time Blockbuster," Adarsh added.

Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" took the first place with $25 million and Shah Rukh Khan's "My Name Is Khan" was at second spot with $23 million until now.

However, "My Name Is Khan" has now been pulled down to third position by "Dhoom 3".

US-Canada and UAE-GCC circuits contributed the highest collection. Till second Wednesday, the UAE-GCC total of the film stood at $5.750 million [₹35.82 cr] and US-Canada total was $7.451 million [₹ 46.40 cr]

"Unbelievable, but true! #Dhoom3 business from just USA-Canada and UAE-GCC, these two markets, is over ₹ 82 crore," Adarsh tweeted.
