While other films die at the box office after four weeks run, "Dhoom 3" continues to do roaring business in Pakistan.
The response for "Dhoom 3" is so high that people are still thronging theatres to watch the film. The action thriller "Dhoom 3" has entered in its sixth week at worldwide box office, but it is still doing roaring business in several places.
"It is because of Indian movies that new cinemas are being built in Lahore," Ramzan Shiekh, the owner of two state-of-the-art theatres, told Press Trust of India.
"I am going to build another one in the city. Both my existing halls were booked for four daily shows of 'Dhoom 3 ' and still people kept coming to watch the movie."
"Dhoom 3" was the first film to release in the neighbouring country after the ban was lifted. Lahore High Court's Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan earlier issued a ban on Indian films and televisions shows. And within just one day of its release, "Dhoom 3" shattered the record of Pakistan film "Waar".
The Aamir Khan starrer did a business of around ₹20 million on first day from 56 screens, beating "Waar" ₹11.4 million foremost day record.
The Khans of Bollywood including Saif Ali Khan, Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh have a huge fan following in Pakistan.
The recently release film "Jai Ho" starring Salman Khan is also doing roaring business in the neighbouring country. However, "Jai Ho" failed to beat "Dhoom 3" first weekend record.
"Dhoom 3" collected ₹3.90 crores in the first three days, while "Jai Ho" raked in ₹2.21 crores, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
